Friday

Yesterday was a busy day for me. Some people were off to observe Veterans day, and while I did work I certainly remembered the sacrifices made for this country I call home.
I so appreciate the courage it takes from all our troops and thier leaders to serve to protect us and I thank them.

I got to spend some time with Alisia or "clicky" as I think I have just nicknamed her !
We have so much fun together and I absolutely adore being with her family so much.
They are all so wonderfully amazing. She and her daughter get to have girls weekend while the boys go hunting.
Funny when you live in these parts even on the radio the start of "gun season" is spoke of!
Deer hunting of course~! You start at age 12 around here. Boys and girls believe or not!

I woke up to rain and clouds and a little bit of a chill but not much. I thought I was already in Ireland .. another week to go then Heather and I will be on our way to vacation there for Thanksgiving. I have much to be Thankful for and spending it with my daughter in Ireland will be one of them~
Have a great friday~!

Today was full of business as I used my time to do the normal housework for the week after being a week behind. I took time for a little reading and bit of skating on tv and some (not much) football.
But as the day seemed so long due to the darkness early, I found myself pondering

once again the change of the seasons .

Perhaps the" grace" of the limitation of daylight causes us to fully appreciate the sun as it breaks in the morning dew or burst through the clouds after a rain!
Oh so glorious to behold and feel the warmth on our face.
So as night falls, I embrace the darkness for sleep and look forward to the sun upon rise.

Saturday November 6, 2010

It has been a beautiful day here as it warmed back up. I know it wont last long but now that time is changing tonight to see the sun all day was a blessing. I am just in from taking a walk for the last hues of sunset > I never tire of seeing the sun dip down and paint the sky. It is a reminder that life is full of life and surprises , just keep looking up!~ No matter what!~

This has been a very busy year indeed. I have been to cape cod this summer and san francisco and las vegas and utah . So all the friends and kids have been visited . Next up, I won a trip for two and let my daughter choose where. Having a 26 yr old daughter who is your best friend is amazing. She picked well , we are returning to Ireland! Her first trip , my second , the first won this trip with a photo I took of St Stephens green . I am counting the days to board the plane full of excitement of a child going to disneyland! :) I am in love with Ireland and the people who are so geniune and giving therefore I cannot wait to share this with one of two of the most important people in my life. Then someday maybe we three can return together, my son daughter and I.
He would fit in stawberry blonde hair and thin build and great smile and genuine nature. She will fit in by being so desperately polite and her smile and after all her name is HEATHER

so watch for pictures to post from our journey to the place of fourty shades of green indeed.
